In the U.S., the idea of crowd funding has been in vogue for quite some time whilst this form of financing has developed slowly in Europe. Is crowd funding a real alternative to conventional forms of film financing or are successful projects like "The Age of Stupid" an exception? Which film projects are really suited to crowd funding and how important is it to their mass effectiveness? What must film makers and producers know and what can the various crowd funding platforms accomplish?
Two experts will be speaking about their practical experiences. They will be explaining how one can make the public into co-producers, if crowd funding really works for documentary film and where opportunities and difficulties may lay.
