Carlo Zoratti (Germany, Italy) for the film

The Special Need

Enea is 27 years old, autist, has never had sex in his life and is longing for a woman he can love and who shows the same feelings towards him.
Together with his friends Alex and Carlo, Enea sets out on an adventurous journey to find love. The film is a tale about the power of friendship between men, for whom women full of playful earnestness and self-confidence are little sources of inspiration.
In this film, there's no room for s
entimentality, speculation and voyeurism. There is no happy end, since sex without love is impossible. This statement was uttered not by a woman, but by man – by Enea. For a long time, there has not been a documentary film which deals with the funny and the tragic sides of the human condition in such an endearing way.
