The Leipzig Forum on Innovative Non-fiction Television is where DOK Leipzig presents innovative programming initiatives, documentary slots and attractive funding programmes from all over the world and shows selected works that stand for new developments and trends in the international documentary film industry. This year, our focus will be on the restructuring of a television broadcaster whose name is closely associated with creative and ambitious documentary films and and highly respected for this far beyond the borders of Europe: ARTE.

Dr. Christoph Hauser, Head of Programming of ARTE G.E.I.E., and several editorial directors will spend an afternoon presenting the 2010 programming reform, the profiles of new documentary slots and their long-term strategies to lead their network into the future. The Leipzig Forum promises to offer insightful background information and animated discussions about the profile and focus of the German-French cultural channel that is, and will hopefully stay, unrivalled as the flagship of creative non-fiction films.

The Leipzig Forum is organised by DOK Leipzig and Documentary Campus e.V.
