This year the DOK Co-Pro Market will take place for the 13th time, welcoming 35 projects from 30 countries to take part in more than 800 individual meetings over 2 days. We’ve invited a selection of projects and producers from the participating mini-focus region of Benelux as well as faraway places such as South Africa and Colombia. We are grateful for the generous support of our partners in these regions which surely contributed to our record number of project submissions this year.
Like our participating projects, delegations and observing producers with no projects, we also ask ourselves how creative, feature-length documentaries can be a sustainable career path with the uncertainties many of us face: from development to distribution to the political landscape around us. We hope that the DOK Co-Pro Market will provide a constructive space for dialogue, deals and new partnerships.
We are very excited to continue our partnership with EWA – the European Women’s Audiovisual Network, awarding again the development prize for the best female-driven documentary, and for the first time a talent-development prize, courtesy of the Zonta Club Leipzig-Elster.
