DOK Co-Pro Market
Selection 2017 is now complete
The selection of projects for the 13th DOK Co-Pro Market is now complete. 35 projects have made it into this year's selection and are invited to the DOK Co-Pro Market 2017. Over two days the participants will have the opportunity to meet fellow producers, film fund representatives, broadcasters, sales agents and distributors and other potential financiers to present their documentary film projects and establish new partnerships. We are pleased with the sophistication of projects and the variety of topics they deal with and look forward to the many exciting encounters that will take place during the festival week.
In cooperation with the European Women’s Audiovisual Network (EWA), the DOK Co-Pro Market will for the second time award the prize for the best female-driven documentary film project. The award comprises financial support as well as a one-year-long mentoring as the project is developed further.
For the first time, the Zonta Club Leipzig Elster will kindly award a scholarship of up to 1000€ to cover the travel and accommodation of one talented female director or producer in order to facilitate their participation in the DOK Co-Pro Market. The scholarship has been awarded to Sinae Ha, the director of The Primate Citizen.
A record number of 350 documentary film projects were submitted to the 13th DOK Co-Pro Market. The final selection of this year's participants was done with the kind help of Melanie Andernach (Made in Germany Filmproduktion, Germany), Ryan Harrington (Hot Docs, Canada) and Vesna Cudic (Met Film Sales, UK).
The DOK Co-Pro Market will take place on Monday, 30 October and Tuesday, 31 October in our new Industry venue, Leipziger Foren.
