DOK Industry will celebrate its 14th edition in 2018, against the backdrop of the 61st International Leipzig Festival for Documentary and Animated Film.


DOK Film Market


DOK Film Market supports the distribution and circulation of documentary films throughout the world and the realisation of projects still in progress. It is a full-service meeting place between the German, European and international non-fiction sector and include additional activities to connect you with decision makers and rights holders in Leipzig.

To submit to the Film Market, please fill out the festival's online entry form and select the checkbox to be taken into consideration (the DOK Film Market is a curated selection of films and space is limited!). Films of all lengths that have been completed after October 1, 2017 are welcome to submit.

DOK Short'n'Sweet


A short film pitch focusing on the financing and distribution of short documentary and animated films. DOK Short’n’Sweet invites accredited film professionals to pitch their short film project in front of an international panel of buyers and distributors and an engaged audience of producers and peers.


Each film idea will have 7 minutes to be presented: 3 minutes to pitch the idea and 4 minutes are reserved for questions of the panelists.


Submissions are open until 24 September 2018, with the event taking place on 31 October 2018.


Professionals with all levels of experience and from all backgrounds are welcome to apply for this event. Participation as a pitcher or as an audience member is open to all accredited guests.
