Pets are only human, too. Debbie and Tom own a farm and have the biggest hearts for abused creatures one can imagine. They have given shelter to hundreds of animals – from cross-eyed Siamese cats to disabled opossums to the Pickle of the title, a poor little fish that became a nursing case and for whom they finally crafted a comfortable sponge corset. A heartbreaking animadoc mini-drama about the tragedy of being.

Ralph Eue

When Bill Babbitt realizes his brother has committed a crime he agonizes over his decision- should he call the police? Utterly unobtrusive, the narrative reveals not only the tragic story of a family but also a pseudo-democratic society where people fall through the cracks. With only a few lines and muted colours the rotoscoped images that linger in the memory open an unusual perspective on America.
