Directed by a sound engineer of the Leipzig DEFA Sound and Dubbing Studio and produced by a team consisting mostly of non-employees – an example of the fact that “the societal sponsorship of the people’s artistic creation” had ossified into formality. A member of the studio has cast himself in the lead: as a private plumber. This satire on the constant shortages in the service industry was produced for the “Eulenspiegel” amateur film competition.
