God is coming, but everyone else is gone. The work of the parish priest is trying when his flock has decamped. The spiritual shepherd is left with desperation and finally gallows humour. The latter acquires a reputation. The lonely caller finds a new flock, but they require more nourishment than his sermons. Black humour in sparse lines and with perfect timing.
