Sometimes Two Herons
In Bogotá’s noisy and violent big city machine people carry their nature only limply in their hands, surrendering without resistance to disconcerting rituals. The daughter of a bird flees to her father in the province. The initial playful lightness there is soon damped by an indeterminate heaviness. The associative story flows through animated ink drawings, pausing in short dance scenes, sometimes surreal and lyrical, sometimes earthly and direct.
