Becoming Lucien is a documentary self-portrait in virtual reality: Lucien Pin, a 28-year-old trans man, meets the 7-year-old child he once was to tell him, across five dreamlike chapters, the story of his transition, through doubt, hardship, and rediscovered joy.

Director
Lucien Pin is a 28-year-old non-binary transmasculine transdisciplinary artist, a graduate of La Fémis (2022). His practice explores identity, bodily performance, and political struggle. Author of BOÏ and TERF/ANTITERF, he also researches the history of transgender self-portraiture at Sorbonne Nouvelle University.

A film-history graduate and journalist, Thibault Elie founded the podcast Négatif before co-founding Morituri Films in 2021. He develops intimate, engaged stories across fiction, experimental and VR, from first films to the work of established auteurs.
