DOK Hackathon Leipzig is getting closer

DOK Hackathon Leipzig is getting closer

We are super stoked having received 80 submissions for this year’s DOK Hackathon Leipzig. Among the many submissions, we have many pearls, emerging talents and generally speaking a strong presence of gifted filmmakers. Programmers and designers, as well as animators are also in sufficient numbers.

The DOK Hackathon team is now selecting the 30 participants and building the teams.

Also we are very happy to tell you about our mentors and jurors.

Our three mentors this year are: Andy Glynne who founded the national documentary organisation DFG and runs Mosaic Films, Maya Puig Eriksson Creative Producer at the Interactive Media Foundation and Nico Zimmermann, Grimme Online Award winner, founder of Demodern and our Code mentor for DOK Hackathon Leipzig.

We are very pleased to have jury members from diverse fields of the media industry with their specific look on interactive media. Here they are: Nicolas Bole (Le Blog Documentaire, France), Liz Cook (Kickstarter, USA), Sylke Gruhnwald (SRF Data, Switzerland), Uri Kranot (AniDox:Lab, Denmark) and Charlie Phillips (The Guardian, UK).

DOK Hackathon Leipzig is presented in collaboration with Interactive Media Foundation and Netzdoku. The 3-day workshop will take place from 25-27 October 2015, please join the teams on Tuesday, 27. October for the first result presentation followed by the Interactive Drinks.
