The call for entries to our 65th DOK Leipzig edition is now open. We look forward to receiving your newest documentaries, animated films and Extended Reality works. You can submit directly on our website, starting today and until 1 July.
What kind of works can I submit?
You are welcome to submit creative documentaries and animated films of all lengths as well as hybrid films between the two genres.
To be considered for the competition sections, it is important that the production year of your film is either 2021 or 2022. In addition, your film should not have been shown publicly before October 2021 and it needs to celebrate at least a German premiere at DOK Leipzig.
We are also looking for Extended Reality works (XR) to become part of our DOK Neuland exhibition. You can submit virtual reality or augmented reality experiences, 360° films, sound installations, games, apps and media art in a completely new form. No specific premiere status is required for DOK Neuland.
Don’t miss our submission deadlines!
We have two deadlines for film submissions: 1 May 2022 for films completed until that date and 1 July 2022 which is our final deadline.
For XR works, only the second and final deadline of 1 July 2022 applies.
