Online Sale

We kindly invite you to create a myDOK account with our website. This way you can mark favourite shows and have access to your purchased tickets at all times.

Of course you can buy tickets anonymously “as a guest” as well, the tickets will be sent to you via email in any case.

You need a pdf-reader to view (and print) your purchased tickets.

If there are no tickets available to purchase for any screening this means that the show is either free anyhow or there are no more tickets available – the show is sold out. You can try showing up on the venue, there might be some left over tickets available as part of the “Last Minute Sale”.

The question mark icon on any show might give you additional information as well.

You are able to receive 5 tickets per show per purchase, we want to keep it fair for everyone.

Access to the cinema hall

Your purchased ticket is viable either printed or digital (online tickets). Please present it at the entry. If you have a reduced ticket, please provide verification as well.

Season tickets must be presented as well, if you received your ticket with one.

Additionally, you may have to present proof of covid-safety (“3G option” in Germany). This means either proof of recovery, proof of vaccination or proof of a negative corona test – and your ID.

Finally, we are obliged to register anyone who is in the cinema, so we might need your personal information as well. All data will be destroyed after 4 weeks.

If you cannot provide any of these proofs, we may refuse to let you in.

Because of this massive load of additional checking, we expect extended waiting time for everyone. You will need a good deal of patience and we hope you can relate.

Season Tickets for the Cinema Screenings

We offer you to purchase a season ticket (regular: 70 € | reduced: 40 €) to watch the complete festival programme in our cinemas.

Season tickets are available only in the festival centre (Museum der bildenden Künste). You can’t buy them online.

With the season ticket you need to then order additional free tickets at the box office, because we cannot know in advance, which screenings you want to see in the end.

These free tickets you need to then present at the cinema hall – alongside your season ticket and possible proof of discount.

Corona / COVID-19 Advise

Please be aware of the pandemic regulations of each venue, that may differ in small details. In general, we follow the German “3G” rules, which means “vaccinated, recovered or negative test” (geimpft, genesen, getestet).

To be well prepared, please bring either of these documents to the venue: Proof of recovery, proof of vaccination or proof of a negative covid-test. Plus a valid ID.

Be aware that checking these documents takes additional time, so please plan ahead! You may be barred from entry if you cannot provide the relevant documents.

Additionally, we are advised to keep records of our guests in any given venue, so you might be asked to provide your name and address at the entrance of each location. We send out forms with each online ticket and you can also get forms at the venues.

If you have, bring the German “Covid-Warn-App” on your smartphone and you can register yourself with our provided QR code, how convenient!
