Online sale

We kindly invite you to create a myDOK account with our website. This way you can mark favourite shows and have access to your purchased tickets at all times.

Of course you can buy tickets anonymously “as a guest” as well, the tickets will be sent to you via email in any case.

You need a pdf-reader to view (and print) your purchased tickets.

If there are no tickets available to purchase for any screening this means that the show is either free anyhow or there are no more tickets available – the show is sold out. You can try showing up on the venue, there might be some left over tickets available as part of the “Last Minute Sale”.

The question mark icon on any show might give you additional information as well.

You are able to receive 5 tickets per show per purchase, we want to keep it fair for everyone.

Access to the cinema hall

Your purchased ticket is viable either printed or digital (online tickets). Please present it at the entry. If you have a reduced ticket, please provide verification as well.

Season tickets must be presented as well, if you received your ticket with one.

Season tickets

We offer you to purchase a season ticket (regular: 70 € | reduced: 40 €) to watch the complete festival programme in our cinemas. Season tickets are exclusively available at our box offices from 14 October.

With the season ticket you need to then order additional free tickets at the box office, because we cannot know in advance, which screenings you want to see in the end.

These free tickets you need to then present at the cinema hall – alongside your season ticket and possible proof of discount.

Reservations

There are no reservations available this year.

Accessibility

Cinemas

We are working to make DOK Leipzig as barrier-free as possible. Many of the festival cinemas have wheelchair access. You can find further details about the accessibility of our venues here.

For more details, we also recommend to use wheelmap.org, a map for finding wheelchair accessible places. Most of our festival venues have already been included and rated in this map. Wheelmap is available in your browser and as an app for smartphones.

Films

Every year, we produce audio descriptions and SDH subtitles (both in German) for a selection of our festival films to offer barrier-free cinema experiences.

The audio descriptions are available via the app Greta, the SDH subtitles are provided directly on screen.

You can find a list with the films with audio description and/or SDH subtitles here.

COVID-19 health and safety measures

At this point in time, we do not foresee any access restrictions for visiting our events. We are guided by the Infection Protection Act, the current Corona Protection Ordinance and the hygiene concepts of our venues. In case of changes, we will announce them as soon as possible.

You can check in to all our events via the Corona Warning App. The data collection is done per venue through a QR code posted there. We strongly recommend all visitors to wear a mouth-nose covering during the entire stay in our cinemas.
