Die Veranstaltung gibt Einblick in die Entstehung des Programms, die Zusammenarbeit von Sender, Förderung und Produzierenden und zeigt, welches Potenzial Animation für die Auseinandersetzung mit unserer Gegenwart bietet. Anhand ausgewählter Filmausschnitte aus „Das letzte Wort – Von Tannen und Palmen“ (Ralf Kukula, Balance Film), Sprechzeit“ (Alina Cyranek, Falk Schuster, hug films) und „Meier-Schmidt passt sich an“ (Theresa Strozyk, DenverMP) diskutieren die Beteiligten, wie Animation gesellschaftliche Debatten aufgreift, neue Perspektiven eröffnet und weit über klassische Kinderformate hinausgeht.
