Zeitgeschichtliches Forum Leipzig
Where does the source of documentary magic bubble from? Since recent technological developments and a digital revolution of our industry, old workflows have been turned on their heads, and the stages development, production and post-production have begun to bleed into one another. This has most definitely changed and possibly redefined one important professional relationship: between the director and editor.
Together they must sort through hours of footage and have a new ability to work on many different narrative structures or formats simultaneously, under the watch of funders and producers, each with different interests. We invite our favorite editors to discuss their roles in film production today, discuss their recent films, and how they see the future. Featuring a brief keynote on 3D thinking by Ludger Pfanz, director of the Video, Film, Sound, 3D, Multimedia and Stage Studio at the HFG Karlsruhe.
This session will be held in English language.
Accredited guests welcome.
