Late Night Talks

Late Night Talks

One bottle, two people, some films and many questions

At the Late Night Talks Leena and Zaza and well-known filmmakers will talk about their films and those made by others they like. In a lounge atmosphere, they will dive deeper into the art of filmmaking and life. Selected film excerpts will be analysed. And a bottle will be emptied.

Later on just chill out with your best documentary friends and new acquaintances or dance the night away. Open end.

Thursday Night Talk

Leena Pasanen, festival director DOK Leipzig, and Jani Leinonen, visual artist, talk about his work and School of Disobedience which gave the festival its motto this year.

Jani Leinonen unfortunately fell ill but we have two members of our charming Selection Committee, Zaza Rusadze and Grit Lemke, talk about something you've been always wondering about:

How to watch over 3000 films without going nuts.

The biggest fights, the longest nights and bitter tears.

Find out who regularly watches films a bathing suit, who has the loudest arguments and who drinks the most coffee.

Friday Night Talk

Zaza Rusadze, member of the Selection Committee at DOK Leipzig and filmmaker, and Sergei Loznitsa, acclaimed director, look for signs of contemporary cinematographic language in the films of the International Competitions, both long and short film.
