Accessibility – Opportunities and Challenges for Film Productions and Festivals
While accessible film versions open doors, they also present structural, creative and organisational challenges for funders, filmmakers and festivals alike. In this talk experts from across the industry discuss the current state of accessibility and how it can be implemented holistically in festival operations – from accessible film versions and barrier-free event venues to barrier-free communication. The aim is to highlight concrete approaches to achieving greater inclusion in film and festival practices, and to strengthen the dialogue between audiences, institutions and creatives.
