Coordinator DOK Industry Programme and Partnerships (all genders) on a freelance basis

DOK Industry is where the international documentary and animated film industry meets at DOK Leipzig. Every year, some 1,600 industry representatives meet here to discuss new works and latest developments. With a slate of programmes and events, DOK Industry fosters the creation and circulation of documentary film projects from initial concept to market.
We are looking for a
DOK Industry Programme and Partnerships Coordinator (all genders)
Honorarium
Period: 3 July to 30 October 2023
Hours: approx. 480
Your tasks:
Collaborate in preparation, coordination and production tasks as well as the execution of parts of the DOK Industry programme
Communicate with industry guests and partner institutions (mainly in English)
Ensure the implementation of partnership agreements
Oversee visibility of partners in collaboration with the communication department (website, social media, newsletters, catalogue, banners and promotional materials)
Support the implementation of the partner workshops Ex Oriente and Animation Lab, relate with the coordinators, workshop venues
Edit and provide tailored programme information and schedules for guests, speakers and partner delegations
Provide details of accreditation procedures to partners, monitoring of accreditation
statuses and publication of Industry Guide profiles in collaboration with the accreditation
department
Edit guest lists, send invites and manage RSVPs and personal schedules
Participate in writing and reviewing texts for online publication, newsletters, mailings (in English)
Welcome, assist and guide guests, representatives of partner institutions and delegations during their participation in the DOK Industry programme
Maintain contact and personal profile data via the guest database
We expect:
Excellent communication skills as well as decision making and problem-solving ability
Proficiency in writing and speaking English
Experience in working with office application and databases
Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure
Ability to work autonomously and responsibly as well as goal-oriented
Team spirit
Knowledge of the film industry and film festival sector is an advantage

Press Relations Officer (all genders)
on a freelance basis
Time frame: 1 August – 31 October 2023
Extent: part-time (approx. 25h/week), festival week (8 – 15 October) full-time
Your tasks:
Contacting industry publications abroad, inviting journalists, collating topic proposals
Preparing press releases and newsletter texts relating to DOK Industry (mainly in English)
Coordinating interviews
Handling international media and attending to media representatives during the festival week
Monitoring reports and trends in the media
We expect:
A very good command of written and spoken English combined with a feel for the language
Confidence in dealing with different types of texts, quick drafting and editing of texts
Skill in communication, reasoning and persuasion
An ability to work independently and a committed approach to your work
Familiarity with journalistic practices and the media (especially the film industry) is preferred
Experience working for a cultural institution or at a film festival is preferred
Knowledge of Adobe InDesign is desirable

DOK Industry is our platform for international documentary and animation film professionals. Our employees connect filmmakers, production companies, TV stations, VoD platforms, distributors and sales agents. They also organise events where industry players can discuss their latest film projects, find financing or distribution channels, and learn about current trends.
Every year, motivated volunteers support us during and around the festival week. It’s an opportunity for film lovers to gain accreditation, peek behind the scenes, meet our filmmakers, answer audience questions and immerse themselves in the festival. The commitment of our many volunteers is part of why DOK Leipzig is known for its welcoming atmosphere and professionalism.
