Anidox Lab – The Alchemy of Animated Documentaries
Animated documentaries are a strange breed. When fabricated matter meets stories from the world as we know it, something explosive happens. What seems an impossible marriage becomes gold through mysterious alchemy. Animation’s boundless visual language breathes new life into real-world narratives, while lived experience gives animated storytelling profound weight. In this session, we’ll explore the special ingredients needed for such magic through three film cases developed at Anidox Lab—a professional course devoted to creating animated documentaries at The Animation Workshop, Denmark. Discover how these hybrid works challenge conventions and open entirely new possibilities for both documentary and animation.
