The Far East Film Festival in Udine is dedicated to popular Asian films. Špela Čadež’s trailer for its 11th festival edition is dedicated to the love of noodles that unites nations.

The chalk chases the shadow. Once it is captured, only traces of the game remain. A race between fleeting and manifest forms that knows no winner.

Filip and Tereza have little in common except for the wall between their apartments. Loosely based on Gorky, Špela Čadež makes the puppets dance: a pas de deux of neighbouring lonelinesses.

A drunken drive through the night with a badger at the wheel. The car radio is a crooning, rhythmic companion to the will-o’-the-wisp headlights of oncoming cars.

He and she are a good team. What was intended as a pleasant evening for two becomes overshadowed by an acrid cloud of roast fumes and ends civilized, but bloody: black humour, “well done”.
