DOK Leipzig Net Lab

An inspirational conference lab on the current trends of new media providing access to new information, intense networking and individual support. Open for transmedia creatives, thinkers and makers with and without projects in progress.

Fri. 1 & Sat. 2 November 2013

 What is the Net Lab?

The DOK Leipzig Net Lab 2013 is a two part conference lab, which offers new insights on transmedia storytelling and production, provides a platform to exchange and network and creates the opportunity to join forces with experienced colleagues and international tutors. The selected project teams get intense individual support for their cross media project, with an in-depth look at interactive storytelling and media architecture.

What is happening in the two days (November 1./2.) of the Net Lab?

Day one offers inspirational talks, case studies, presentations and round table meetings with international experts. This is a platform where up to 60 international media creatives meet like-minded people, build new networks, exchange ideas and share their experiences.

Day two is dedicated to intense tutoring and support for the eight hand-picked transmedia projects in progress and their teams; we provide concrete support for projects in development, production or post-production stage. International crossmedia experts will share their knowledge, provide engaged mentoring and give individual advice for each project. This will be a mix of groupwork, in-depth analysis and individual meetings.

Who can participate?

Filmmakers, media professionals and transmedia creatives are invited to apply with their multi-platform projects linked to documentary and/or animated film. Up to eight projects will be selected from all applications. The head producer and two team members will be invited to participate.

When can I apply with my transmedia project?

The submission with projects for our 3rd DOK Leipzig Net Lab is closed now. Please try again next year or apply without a project until September 18.

I think the Net Lab is great! Can I also participate without a project?

Yes! Filmmakers, media professionals and transmedia enthusiasts without a project are also welcome to attend. Please apply till: SEPTEMBER 18, 2013
