The Huerta of Valencia is a privileged spot for Mediterranean agriculture. It has survived to this day, yet in the last decades, it has undergone a process of deterioration.
“The Huerta is dying”, the farmers claim. One of the last farmers is Antonio Ramon. Camagroga follows his and his daughter’s work through a whole year. The film is an elegy of work, land, heritage, and resistance.

The Israeli long occupation from the point of view of Palestinian children: the painful personal stories of three girls and two boys, age 7 to 17, from East Jerusalem and Hebron, open a window to the world of Palestinian minors, trapped in a daily reality of violence, humiliation, and confrontation with soldiers and settlers, and yet remain children in every way. Each child finds their own way to cope and to construct their emotional and political world in an impossible situation of war.
The film combines the intimate experiences of those children. One of them was involved in the “Knife Intifada”, with the constant soundtrack of their lives on TV and social media, conversations at home, and their schools’ educational programs. A portrait of the third generation of occupation.

Nathalie, a shepherdess in the foothills of the Cévennes, learns how to kill her animals. The film follows the gestures of a farmer who loves and eats her sheep with care. She is caught up in a relentless questioning about how to die well for these beings who make us live. What does tenderness taste like?

We are born into an already-constructed world – we don’t choose our own history, context, or culture. We enter with new eyes into this old culture, which has already been shaped and structured based on the desires and power of others. This culture is most often opaque, hidden under the smooth surface of “the way it is and was”. Museums are institutions that are entrusted to preserve – they are a repository of highly selective views of history and civilization. The artwork presented under the magic guise of education and expertise is in fact historically made, collected, curated, and contextualized by men. Girls/Museum is a voyage through the historical art collection of the Museum der bildenden Künste Leipzig, guided by the expertise and insights of a group of girls, ages 7 to 19.

The same things happen every day in chapiteau “Joy”: performers disassemble and assemble the tent with a starry dome, give performances, move to other places. Trainers of lynxes and parrots fight over every little thing, while clown Valera always performs alone. Until one day a new partner, clown Jana, comes to his place to help him conquer the world of circus.

Roman lives with his parents Aivaras and Diana in a Klaipėda Old Town squat, in an abandoned and decaying building. Despite poverty, Roman’s parents try to provide him with the very best. However, they don’t always succeed. But Roman doesn’t care. He is happy that his parents give him the most important thing that an eight-year-old boy can have – absolute freedom. Freedom to roam the narrow streets of the Old Town, swim in the sea, climb fences, or search the ruins. It doesn’t even cross his mind that it can be dangerous. What matters the most is that he is loved.

Shot on 16mm in national military parks, swamps, forests, and the suburban sprawl across the former battlefields, the film follows General Grant’s path liberating the southern United States from the white supremacist republic that took over half the country. Part travelogue, part essay film, part landscape documentary, it moves from the Texas-Louisiana border to a prison island off the coast of New England. But instead of relying on actors, vintage photos, and the sounds of bullets and explosions, the battles are illustrated with the paper reenactments of Hex and Counter wargames and bubblegum cards from the hobbyist gamer subcultures that have sprung up around the Civil War. The sound and music are inspired by the 70’s crime films to celebrate the destruction of the Confederacy. But the losers get nothing. Stripped down sound design and no music. Grant and the liberation crew on the other hand get the 70’s and 80’s synth jams they deserve.

A poet dies, and another one, younger, feels an obligation to promote her work. She is joined by a team of women filmmakers. The film begins with this unusual triangle but, interestingly, it grows into something more complex and subtle than a traditional research project. Predictably, questions arise, but so do revelations and almost clandestine moments of beauty and lucidity, along with a persistent sense of uncertainty that ends up becoming a goal in its own right. Thanks to this unexpected approach, Juana Bignozzi appears in this film in all her glory, invincible and very much alive: the film triumphs.

After 62 years of living together, Aïcha and Mabrouk, my grandparents, are separated. They now live in two separate buildings, facing each other. I didn’t understand their separation. No one explained it to me. I don’t know their story. No one told it to me. Aïcha and Mabrouk got married in 1952, in the village of Laouamer in Algeria. Two years later, they settled in Thiers, a small medieval town in Central France where they have been living for over 60 years. Through the intimate portrait of Aïcha and Mabrouk, this film shines a light on the distances we carry within ourselves and perpetuate with those we love while unpicking and documenting the indelible suffering of a colonised mind.

Truth or Consequences is a speculative documentary about time and how we weave the past into the present and our possible future. Set in the small desert town of Truth or Consequences, New Mexico, the film takes place in the shadow of the world's first commercial Spaceport. Subtly set in a near future when space travel has begun, the film follows five residents who stayed. Combining documentary, archival, experimental virtual reality worlds, and an improvised score by Bill Frisell, Truth or Consequences is a lyrical meditation on progress, history, and how we navigate a sense of loss within ourselves and a changing world.
