Project Representatives
Sebastián Carrasco, is a visual artist with a degree in Art from Universidad de Los Andes and an MFA in Fine Arts from Hunter College, NY. His work has been exhibited in prominent galleries and cultural spaces such as Liberia Central Contemporánea (Bogotá), Espacio Odeón (Bogotá), SGR Galería (Bogotá) and Glass House ArtLifeLab (Brooklyn, NY). Carrasco has received awards such as first place in the Young Colombian Artist Award from the Embassy of Spain in Colombia (2019), the Young Artist Award from the University of Los Andes (2020) .
His work includes digital narratives in augmented reality, multi-channel video installations and 3D animation, notably for the Gold Museum of Colombia. He is founder of the collective 4-18 and has been director of the Digital Media Collective at Hunter College. He has also taught at Universidad Externado de Colombia, Universidad del Rosario and Universidad del Bosque.
Andrés Piñeros is a Colombian film director and producer, co-founder of Trípode Producciones Int S.A.S. With a distinguished career in the audiovisual industry, Piñeros has directed short films that have been selected and awarded at international festivals such as the Cartagena International Film Festival, Bogoshorts, Curta Cinema in Rio de Janeiro and the San Francisco Film Festival. His approach as a director is characterized by a strong inclination towards social issues and an interest in exploring new narratives that merge art and technology. He is currently in the development and co-production stage of his first fiction feature film, “Tokyo por Siempre”, a project that won a call from the Fondo para el Desarrollo Cinematográfico (FDC) in the regional feature film category and the SFFILM Rainin Grant 2021 in the screenwriting category and in 2022 in the development category.
