YerbaBruja is an XR experience blending Veracruz’s cultural tapestry with Son Jarocho music, dance, and 360-degree augmented reality. It explores bodily memory, cultural heritage, and personal discovery through an immersive, boundary-pushing narrative.

Viviana Zúñiga Rojas
Mexico

Viviana Zúñiga Rojas is a Mexican director, producer, multimedia artist, and teacher specializing in film, documentaries, and traditional music. Her acclaimed work explores identity, rituals, and socio-political themes. Notable projects include the short documentary Here We Are, which addresses resistance through Son Jarocho music, and the feature documentary Bravas, exploring a female bull rider's struggles with toxic masculinity. Viviana performs Son Jarocho music with her band, Son de Luna, and is developing the XR project YerbaBruja, blending interactive video, sound, and dance. A Eurodoc and VCC SSP LatAm recipient, she continues to advance her creative practice.
