Interactive documentary, Canada 2014
An Arctic expedition is sailing through the previously impenetrable icy expanse of the legendary North West Passage. The international scientists, musicians, writers and filmmakers aboard experience the overwhelming nature, local residents and causes and consequences of climate change.
This interactive documentary accompanying the eponymous ARTE series offers a thrilling and visually breathtaking 360° journey through the Arctic. The use of the latest camera technology in combination with the three dimensional Oculus Rift glasses creates one of the first virtual reality-based film events that integrates the viewer and his or her perspective.
