Forum on Innovative Non-Fiction TV

Crossmedia and the Strategies of European TV Networks

Saturday 23 October 2010, 3.30 pm – 6 pm

The Leipzig Forum on Innovative Non-fiction Television is where Documentary Campus and DOK Leipzig present new developments and trends in the international documentary film industry. This year we focus on the multimedia strategies of ARTE, YLE and Channel 4. How are these television networks preparing for the challenge of cross-media projects in regards to the legal, financial and technical aspects? What will budget development for cross-media content look like? How many online commissioning editors are there? Are other positions planned? What is the relationship between the online and 'normal' editing teams? And the technical questions: How will future television be distributed and received? What does this mean for documentary-content producers? Which changes must they adapt to?
