Future Perspectives
of Animated Films

Thursday, 21. October 2010

Future Perspectives of Animated Films Open Workshop of the EAMprofessional 2010 during DOK Leipzig 2010 On the occasion of the EAMprofessional 2010, the International Halle Academy of Media and Arts (IAMA) presents, for the first time ever, an „Open Workshop“ during the 53rd Internation-al Leipzig Festival for Documentary and Animated Film.

The 90-minute event on 21 October 2010 focuses on current and potential developments of the animated film in other genres. Animation continuously offers new narrative, aesthetic and technical options and penetrates almost any areas of our every-day visual terrain - be it in the classic form of feature films, TV series and short films or within the wide-ranging spectrum the advertising industry uses. Animation is a major component of computer games and can be found on almost every Website. The wide range of visual and technical features animation offers creates interesting points of contact as well as a dynamic and expressive potential for the production of documentary and reality films.
