Lighting Up the Big Screen at DOK Leipzig
The festival is bringing big movies to the big screen at the Filmpalast’s largest cinema hall, the CineStar 8, where we’ll be showing six outstanding films.
We’re kicking off the festival on Monday with the world premiere of our opening film THE FORUM, which chronicles the inner workings of the World Economic Forum in Davos. As the festival week progresses, further world premieres will follow. On Wednesday we’re showing a double feature: The short film NUIT, a Norwegian-Swedish co-production about the life of a blind woman, along with Polish documentary thriller THE WIND.
The Italian production NEVER WHISTLE ALONE, in which director Marco Ferrari interviews seven whistleblowers on corruption in his home country, will celebrate its world premiere on Thursday night.
Then on Friday, director Maria Arlamovsky will reveal deep insights into the Brave New World of humanoid robots with her film ROBOLOVE. Prior to that, an animated film from the International Programme, WHY SLUGS HAVE NO LEGS, will unveil the entertaining work-life balance of sociable, creative, but rather slow work colleagues: snails.
