Festival Trailer 2017

We are pleased to present this year’s festival trailer!

Our 2017 trailer was created by the documentary filmmaker Jay Rosenblatt. Rosenblatt has been making award-winning short films and teaching film and video production at various schools in the San Francisco Bay area since the 1980s. The majority of his works are assembled from found footage, archival material, discarded filmstrips, and found or manipulated sound. He uses footage from ephemeral film genres such as industrial, amateur or educational films, and puts it into new contexts.

In addition to being the juror of the 2017 Next Masters Competition at DOK Leipzig, Rosenblatt will hold a masterclass on November 3 providing insights into his body of work and his creative process. DOK Leipzig also dedicates this year’s homage to the experimental filmmaker.

Our trailer will be shown before the start of film screenings over the festival week at our festival cinemas.
