The people in the Estonian village of Pähkla have grown old since Uudu last saw them. Now he visits them once more – as a ghost, for Uudu died a long time ago. Their reunion is all the more cordial: schnapps is served, along with anecdotes. According to Nietzsche it takes three of such anecdotes to form the image of a person. Was that how Uudu was? What he sees today is the camera’s field of vision. The reactions are immediate. Watching them is entrancing.

To get some of it an addicted biker tries to win an irrational race – a race that is being held in the tracks of a vicious circle and in which even the audience participate in malicious ways. A darkly humorous film on steroids that creates an intense dynamics by its astute use of a fast-paced and bold soundtrack, the simplicity of its lines and the sinuous movement of its colours.
