In 23 episodes of 25 seconds each, “Please Say Something” portrays the troubled relationship between a sensitive cat and an egocentric mouse. With his idiosyncratic visual language and radical, abrupt dissection of narrative structures, the Irish animation filmmaker skilfully balances between high art and trash, fascination and irritation.
