The film is a delightful tale of a spoiled wedding between child’s toys which shows Starewicz’s typical style of making amusing films appropriate for children without much sentimentality. As in many of his other films, his daughter Nina plays the role of the child.

A chilling tale of insect delinquency. She, an irresponsible scatterbrain young fly, ignores the warnings of her stuffy fiance, a capricorn beetle, against going to the big city, where her downfall is brought about by the villain of the piece, a seducer in spider form.

In this film the tale of a beautiful king’s daughter and her prince is staged with animated bugs. It was screened in a cinema in 1912 as the first puppet animation ever and laid the foundations for Starewicz’s success.

Infidelity among beetles and grashoppers. When the husband discovers the infidelity of his wife, he films her with her lover and shows the film in the local cinema.
This 100-year-old film not only shows Starewicz's outstanding talent but has remained quite up to date even today.

The film is adapted from Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tale „The Steadfast Tin Soldier“, the Story of a little tin soldier who falls in love with a toy ballerina. A masterpiece of the silent film era with magnificent animated scenes.

A poor mother and daughter lose their home because they can’t pay back what they owe to a usurer. The mother is forced to sew day and night while the daughter goes begging with a barrel organ and her little monkey, Jacky. But Jacky is clever and the usurer is no match for such an opponent.

Nina, the clockmaker's little daughter (and daughter of Starewicz) starts daydreaming in front of a great clock with three moving automatons. She changes from being a street singer to a ballerina in love with a tin soldier, then a princess in search of a handsome knight. From burglaries to castle attacks and mermaids to dragons, the adventures never stop ... just like the hands of a clock.

It is a fairy tale about a girl who releases a nightingale out of its cage. In return the bird gives the girl a beautiful voice. The animation was awarded the Hugo Riesenfeld Medal for being the "most novel short subject motion picture in the USA during the year 1925".
