Which boy doesn’t dream of being a cowboy? For 11-year-old Crowley it’s just a part of life, he lives on a ranch in America with his father. But one must learn a lot and sometimes show courage to become a “real” cowboy.
Dominik is a seven-time Hungarian swimming champion. Sport means everything to him. Then it turns out that he has a damaged spine. If he keeps on training he risks disability. If he pauses, he’s thrown out of the team. He must be strong now. But what does that mean?
What do children dream of at night? In Palestine it’s tanks, bombs, soldiers with guns, burning houses, and people who are forced to flee. Painting their dreams and turning them into a film helped the 9- to 12-year-old kids from Gaza and Hebron.
The 12-year-old kid we see likes to play football, gets into fights, plays Knock Knock Ginger and aims a toy pistol at ducks. Plainly a “real” boy, nothing special. But Niels used to be a girl called Kyara, and the road to becoming the person he is now was hard.
